IMPORTANT INFO FOR WORKSHOPS

Please read the following important info before booking a workshop

WHAT'S INCLUDED: Instruction, post processing techniques, coffee in the mornings, and in-the-field tricks for wildflower photography.

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED: Lodging, food, alcohol, and all transportation  ( there is a possibility of shooting at 2 locations that require some driving skill and 4x4 clearance, in that case we would all ride in my vehicle )

DISCLAIMER: The weather in Colorado can be extremely erratic and dangerous in the summer. If high winds or threatening storms become an issue, I will do my best to work around so we can still shoot something.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: DSLR or mirrorless camera, shutter release cable, sturdy tripod, wide angle (10-24 range), mid to long range lens ( 28-300 range ), rain gear, warm clothes, good hiking shoes, batteries, trekking poles if you have difficulties on uneven ground, sunglasses, headlamps, and filters if you have them.

THINGS TO KNOW: The altitude in Crested Butte is just shy of 9,000 feet above sea level, and we’ll be shooting anywhere between 9,000 - 11,000 feet. Altitude sickness can be an issue for some people, please consider this. Also, Colorado in July can still be cold in the early mornings and at night, so choose wisely when packing clothes. I highly recommend not using cotton for any of our photography sessions. There is in some hiking involved during these workshops, nothing too strenuous but nevertheless, it’s still hiking at a high elevation.

RECOMMENDATIONS: I highly advise booking lodging well in advance as July is busy, email me if you want some recommendations. Also, there is plenty of great camping in the area. Having an AWD or 4x4 vehicle is recommended but not completely necessary.
