Autumn Glow (First Session)

  • Ended
  • 700 US dollars
  • Crested Butte, Colorado

Service Description

Crested Butte during Autumn is absolutely magical! The aspens change to orange, yellow, and red, turning the whole landscape into a crayon box like scene. The short cool days with the fast moving moisture can create mystical scenes with fog, dramatic clouds, and if we are lucky, snowy peaks. On clear calm days we’ll get to experience vibrant gold reflections on the surface of high alpine lakes from the trees. As a bonus, the plummeting temps can cause wildlife to move to lower elevations, giving us a chance to photograph them in their habitat. ITINERARY: We will keep a very loose itinerary to ensure we shoot at the best spot for current lighting and weather conditions. If it works out were the whole group arrives in Crested Butte the night before the workshop starts, we can meet that evening to get a plan together for the first morning sunrise shoot, otherwise we’ll just plan on meeting first thing in the am. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: DSLR or mirrorless camera, shutter release cable, sturdy tripod, wide angle (10-24 range), mid to long range lens ( 28-300 range ), rain gear, warm clothes, good hiking shoes, batteries, trekking poles if you have difficulties on uneven ground, sunglasses, headlamps, and filters if you have them. THINGS TO KNOW: The altitude in Crested Butte is just shy of 9,000 feet above sea level, and we’ll be shooting anywhere between 9,000 - 11,000 feet. Altitude sickness can be an issue for some people, please consider this. Also, Colorado in July can still be cold in the early mornings and at night, so choose wisely when packing clothes. I highly recommend not using cotton for any of our photography sessions. IMPORTANT: Before booking, please ensure you read the important info found on the previous page. It outlines accommodation, what is/isn't included, and more.

Cancellation Policy

$700 Per Person, $200 deposit at booking and the remaining due 30 days before the workshop begins. Full refund of deposit if there’s a cancellation at least 60 days before the workshop. Anything within the 60 days will be a partial 50% refund.
